Weaving Together

$0.00

24X24

Acrylic on Canvas

This painting was in my peripheral while working on my 3D model for my solo show coming up. This painting was begging for more attention. If paintings could talk.
Thinking about weaving a braid (holding together pieces) The tiny white repetitive marks are metaphor for the mundane. What do we weave together daily? What are your repetitive rituals that you don’t even realize you are doing anymore? It’s like driving and you are somewhere else and somehow arrive home. The marks symbolize that even in the mundane we can find sacred moments and that all these little repetitive marks can weave beautiful things together. Joining parts and holding things together simply by being more present to the mundane. I am the queen of disengaging from the mundane so this has been a beautiful intention practice and serves as a wonderful reminder.
